One year ago...

Well, it was one year ago. Rachael was welcomed into God's arms and the eternal kingdom one year ago. We miss her so much and it was so hard to revisit that day. We took Alex's mom to church and then took flowers to the grave, afterwards visiting with the immediate family back at the house. Kind of surreal being together without her but we went through that during the holiday's as well. Michael is doing well and the kids are adjusting. Still difficult but they have a lot of family and friends surrounding them with love and prayers.

I guess you never know how it really feels until you are in the situation. But it depends who they were to you... Seems like it should be a happy time. Happy that they are blessed for eternity and have no more pain, worries, sadness. But here we sit, missing them and wishing that we could talk to them one more time. Wishing we could hold them, tell them we love them, laugh with them one more time. Some would say it is selfish to wish they were still here with us...

Then I guess she was loved by very selfish people.

I think of her everyday.

Every prayer I say includes her name...

We miss you, we love you, we know we will see you again.

Dominguez family gathering

We started our holiday celebration with the Dominguez Christmas gathering. This is a huge extended family get together that is always so much fun. It is great to see everyone, especially all the kids..

All of the people in this room are desendents of Alex's grandparents. We are so blessed to still have his grandmother still with us at the age of 84! Below are all of the great & great-great grandchildren that attended the party.

Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful Christmas and a great New Years! 2008 seems to have gone by so quickly and here we are blessed with another year. A year that I hope will bring the most amazing blessings to everyone we know.

Christmas Day was spent at my mom's but then the entire family gathered at my dad's house. It was great to see everyone and kick some butt bowling! (on their Wii) We shared gifts and ate too much, then laughed playing the Wii until 2am!

We spent New Years with many dear friends and a great time was had by all! The kids had fun running around and sharing their Christmas gifts with each other and the adults had way to much to eat! (I am seeing a trend with all this food!) And shared a lot of laughs = )

I will post some pictures this weekend and again ~ Happy New Year!
